The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Anambra South Senatorial district in the 2023 general elections, Chief Chris Uba on Friday stormed the industrial town of Nnewi to drum support for his aspiration.
The residence of Prince Chinedu Orizu where the PDP senatorial candidate met members, executives and stakesholders of the party became a kind of political Mecca as people trooped to the venue of the meeting to behold the celebrated godfather of Anambra politics.
In his welcome address, the chairman of PDP in Nnewi North Local Goverment Area, Prince Ifeamuma Nwafor-Orizu extolled the leadership qualities of Chief Chris Uba.
Prince Nwafor-Orizu stated as a matter of fact that the PDP senatorial candidate for Anambra South has been playing significant roles in assisting others to actualize their political aspirations since 1999.
He urged the members, executives and stakesholders of PDP in the council area to work round the clock to ensure victory for Chief Uba and other candidates of the party.
In his own speech, the Chief host, Prince Chinedu Orizu noted that prominent leaders of PDP in Nnewi like Barr Olisa Metuh, Chief Dan Ulasi and Dr ABC Nwosu are solidly behind Chief Uba in his aspiration to represent Anambra South zone in the red chamber of the National Assembly.
In his speech, Chief Uba noted that he was in Nnewi to celebrate Christmas with the PDP loyalists.
He reiterated his preparedness to give Anambra South Senatorial district a quality, responsible and responsive representation in the Senate.
All the stakeholders who spoke at the occasion stressed the need for all and sundry to give maximum support to Chief Uba, which they noted is a way of appreciating his immense contribution to the political development of Anambra State, South East, and the entire Nigeria.
The meeting venue was later thrown into a frenzy mood as the Senatorial candidate splashed Naira on the attendees. He also gave them over one hundred bags of 50kg of rice and clothings.
