President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Commander in Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on Thursday received a rousing welcome from the people of Anambra State.

As early as 10.00am dignitaries across the length and breadth of the state have stormed Anambra State International Airport to welcome President Tinubu and his entourage to the State.
The streets of Anambra State were swept and painted to give the nation’s number one man a befitting reception.


Not willing to be left out of action, the, Anambra State chapter of All Progressives Congress ( APC) had earlier yesterday also sent out invitation to the pary faithful and friends to join APC to accord Mr President a grand reception at the airport..
The invitation was signed by Chief Basil Ejidike, and Mr Okey Udeze,, Chairman and Publicity Secretary respectively.
President Tinubu stepped into Dr Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka at 2.40pm to an unprecedented rousing welcome
He came into the arena with Prof Charles Soludo, the Anambra State governor dressed in traditional Igbo attire in company of the South East governors as well as Ogun and Borno State governors.
In his speech the former Secretary General of United Nations (UN) Chief Emeka Anyoku described President Tinubu as a passionate detribalized lover of democracy
Gov Soludo in his welcome address, described Anambra State as the home of many founding fathers, cardinals, home of largest markets and land of infinite opportunities.
He said over two hundred kilometers of road has been commissioned by the users like the tricycle operators under his watch.
Gov Soludo said that the projects being commissioned are manifestations of the audacity of his administration
He said that the visit of President Tinubu was consequential, a such of which happened twelve years ago.
The Anambra State number one man however brought some of the problems confronting the state such as gully erosion which has taken one third of the state to the president .
He also appealed to President Tinubu to prioritize the drenching River Niger and as well work on some the federal roads that link Anambra to other states.
Gov Soludo revealed that his administration has spent a whooping one hundred and seventy billion Naira on Trunk A roads in the state.
He said with relish that his partnership with the federal government is working well.
Gov Soludo who revealed that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has since 2011 resolved to always adopt the incumbent president noted that the position has not changed.
The highlight of the occasion was the conferment of ‘Dike Na Simba’ of Anambra title on President Tinubu by all the traditional rulers in the state under the leadership of HRH Igwe Chidubem Iweka of Obosi in Idemili North LGA.
The president after the town hall meeting with Ndi-Anambra went for commissioning of the new Anambra State Government House, Governor’s Lodge, Awka Fun City, and Emeka Anyoku Institute of International Studies at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka
