As the political season picks up,in various constituencies of Anambra state, Nnewi North LGA has been inundated with clamoring by political actors vying for various positions. The proximate positions that are currently heating up in Nnewi North are those of Federal House of Representatives and Anambra State House of Assembly.
Anambra State House of Assembly is the exclusive right of Nnewi North LGA because it is a one town constituency. In light of that, the Nnewi community zoned the right to contest for representation to Otolo quarter of Nnewi. Otolo, in its wisdom, zoned the position to Umuenem, and Umuenem zoned the same to Egbu Umuenem.
Amongst the several individuals vying for the opportunity to represent Nnewi North constituency is Arch Ebuka P. Ileka (PhD). Arch Ileka has an enviable résumé head and shoulder above the closest aspirant. His humility and amiable nature speak volume; is it his exploits as a philanthropist? or as a community leader, and other leadership exploits in various sectors of human endeavors. Below is Arch Ileka’s declaration speech:
NNEWI NORTH DESERVES A QUALITY REPRESENTATION
My dear good people of Nnewi North! My life has always been guided by one simple principle: service to humanity and commitment to our community development at all levels.
Over the years, I have dedicated myself to serving our people in different capacities, striving to build a record founded on integrity, responsibility, and genuine concern for the wellbeing of others.
Through community engagements and development efforts in Nnewi, I have always made myself available whenever our people call on me, though notwithstanding the fact that i have always been involved, contributing my own quota both on advisory capacity and material cum operational level.
The cardinal attribute a servant of the people must possess is selfless leadership or a servant leader. I believe strongly that leadership must remain close to the people, attentive to their needs, and committed to practical solutions that improve everyday life.
My humanitarian work through the Rotary Club has given me the opportunity and exposure to touch lives, support families, and contribute to projects that uplift communities. These efforts, on my part, are usually unsung because of the institutional philosophy imbued in many Rotarians. Service is not a slogan; it is a life-long responsibility.
My Christian faith also shapes my outlook on life. My spiritual life allows me to understand that I am what I am because of the unmerited grace i enjoy from our Lord Jesus Christ. It is that awareness that drives my commitment to charity, compassion, and the continuous pursuit of goodwill among men and women in our Christian faith.
In the social and sporting community, I had the privilege of serving the Nnewi Sports Club as president. In that capacity, I worked closely with my executive members to strengthen unity, promote excellence, and encourage youth participation in sports and community life. This is besides the infrastructure development we recorded during my tenure.
Professionally, I have worked diligently to build a sustainable career as a developer through Solid Base Impex Consultancy Group, creating opportunities and contributing to the economic growth of our town. I strongly believe that leadership should come from individuals who understand enterprise, responsibility, and productivity.
Oftentimes, many individuals have approached me to enquire about the secret of my success as a developer. I have always informed them that I am guided by genuine effort to improve the quality of work that I did for my clients. The two primary things I guard jealously that translate to my success are integrity and discipline. Integrity ensures that I fulfill the promises I made to my clients. Discipline ensures that I remain faithful to the design and timeline my clients and I agreed on the projects execution.
I bring these attributes to everything I do in life.
Academically, I have remained committed to personal development, earning several professional qualifications and a Doctorate Degree in Business. These academic achievements have equipped me with broader perspectives on leadership and human development.
Today, I am honoured to humbly offer myself to the good people of Nnewi North Constituency to serve you in the Anambra State House of Assembly. I believe our constituency deserves a voice that understands our people’s needs. A representative who is accessible and ready to offer leadership where it is most needed. A servant leader who is ready to fight for the rights of Nnewi town, which is often marginalized when dispensing with the national cake.
My leadership experiences in community service, professional life, and non-governmental organizations have prepared me to be in a unique position to offer you the crucial services we deserve.
Together, we can work towards stronger representation, better opportunities, and a more prosperous future for Nnewi North.
I remain committed to the values that have guided my life: service, integrity, and charity to our people.
Thank you for your continued trust and support.
Dr. Paul Chukwuebuka Ileka
