A nine man executives of Scraps Automobile Metal market has been inaugurated at Ibolo Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra State, by the President General, PG, Anambra State Markets Amalgamated Traders’ Association, ASMATA, Chief Humphrey Anuna.

Inaugurating them, the ASMATA PG recalled that before this inauguration the market was screened for five years before given approval to be independence and charged them to be of good behaviour and abide by their oath of office warning that ASMATA would not tolerate any act of disobedience to the rules and regulations guiding the markets in the state.

“Let me just warn the vice chairman and secretary, if this market progresses it is to your credit and if it falls you will be held responsible as the engine room, crisis doesn’t commence from chairman but from you. Some will approach you to deceive you, use your discretion in the performance of your functions,” he advised.
Swearing them in, the Idemili zonal chairman, Nze Philip Nwogu reminded them that they should not go contrary to their oath of office and advised them to be selfless and focus on what will benefit the entire traders.
“You should see yourselves as servants and not rulers, always think of what will benefit the traders and avoid selfish interest in piloting the affairs of the traders to avoid chaos in the market,” he stated.
In his post inauguration speech, the chairman, Izuchukwu Ibekailo pledged to carry everyone along and commended the ASMATA PG for inaugurating them and vowed not to disappoint him.
He urged the traders to support the new executives to help in carrying them to the promised land pointing out that without their support all the efforts of the executives will be in nullity.
Speaking, the chairman of Ugwuagba Old Motor parts, Hon. Samuel Ifurunwa expressed satisfaction with the inauguration of the executives and commended the ASMATA PG for he inauguration.
He charged the security operatives in the newly inaugurated market and other neighbouring markets to be united and work as One for the peaceful coexistence of all the markets.
In his own contribution, the Chairman of Ugwuagba community Chief, Chiemerie Nduka, expressed joy that the community produced Ugwuagba and Ibolo markets that in turn produced the scrap market being inaugurated.
Also, the chairman of Udoye market, Ibolo Obosi, Mr. Bato Okwosa, urged the new executives to always obey their leader even as he described ASMATA PG as a peace maker who has restored sanity and decorum in all markets in the state.
Among those inaugurated included, Izuchukwu Ibekailo-chairman, Sunday Oforma-Vice Chairman, Ifeanyi Okafor-Secretary, Nonso Ani – Assistant Secretary, Emmanuel Ezenwosu – Financial Secretary, Ogechukwu Obi – Treasurer, Michael Ogbu-PRO, Sunday Oguji-Provost, and Ikenna Nwoye-Assistant Provost.
