Popular Arise TV anchor, Rufai Oseni has taken to his verified Twitter handle to drag the Nigeria Broadcast Commission (NBC) for playing what he described as “double standard.”
The journalist said that the NBC was yet to issue any statement following the role of the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) in the illegal declaration of Adamawa gubernatorial election result.

Recall that Hudu Yunusa Ari, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Adamawa State, illegally decalared Binani winner of the State election on Sunday.
However, the illegal declaration was covered by the NTA, a government-owned media outfit but the electoral commission swiftly denounced the purported declaration and suspended the collation of results of the supplementary election.
Meanwhile, Oseni claimed if it was another station, the NBC would have sanctioned such station the next day.
He wrote, “About a week, yet we have heard no statement from the NBC on the NTA incident, if it was another station.
“The next day they would have sanctioned such station. Double standards!”
