The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has zoned its 2027 presidential ticket to the Southern Region of the country.
The decision was reached at the party’s 102nd National Executive Council (NEC), which ended a few minutes ago.
At the meeting, Ambassador Umar Damagum was also confirmed as the substantive National Chairman of the party.
Damagum, who has held the post in acting capacity since 2024, will lead the party as the substantive chairman to the November 15 National Elective Convention scheduled for Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
