Members of the Charismatic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) have hailed Governor Chukwuma Soludo for restoring good governance in all sectors in Anambra State through quality infrastructure and the restoration of public order.
Bishop Mike Chukwudum, Overseer, Charismatic Bishops Conference of Nigeria, Anambra State Chapter who spoke on behalf of the National President, Archbishop Bature Kawas ahead of the CBCN Southeast 2025 Conference and Synod holding in Awka, said Soludo has shown commitment to stamp Anambra on the solid map of development and progress.

“Soludo has the mind to change Anambra for good, to bring back good governance. He stood his ground to see that Anambra has good governance atmosphere in all sectors.
“Drive through Ochanja Iweka road down to Onitsha main market, you can drive through now but we know how it used to be. He has men and staff who are everywhere to restore order in the streets. Before now, Onitsha people didn’t know that one is bound to obey traffic rules while driving but today, the consciousness has been established”.

“He has brought back governance and we are praying that he can take it far , if it is him that God will use to take it further, let it be, but if there’s another person, let the will of God be done.”
“From Ngige, governance pace was set up in Anambra, Peter Obi took from Ngige and ran, Soludo came and has shown that he can do it better and he has shown that he can do it better really. We are looking forward to those who can do it much better and better”.
On the issue of security, the Bishop who is also Crime Prevention Campaign Officer said recalled that before now, impunity was rife in the state that people committed all forms of crime and criminality and got away with it because they acted as if they are above the law.
“Look at the native doctors, some of them used to have a warehouse full of dangerous charms and evil pots and they brag about the evil they do but nobody challenged them until Soludo came up with the Anambra Homeland Security Law which dealt also with the evil native doctors and even fake pastors.
“Soludo is not attacking the church or native doctors, he is rather attacking crime anywhere he sees it. He cautioned someone preaching in the market place at an odd hour and some people said he is attacking the church. If you come to sanitise the place, it will touch left and right. Some church ministers are living in impunity and that is what the governor is fighting. Soludo is God-sent to come and breakthrough good governance in Anambra.
On the upcoming Anambra governorship election, Bishop Chukwudum charged the electoral commission and all those involved in the electoral process to wake up and play by the rules in order to ensure that the will of the people prevails after the election.
On the gathering of the Charismatic Bishops in Awka for the synod, Bishop Chukwudum said the synod gathering became necessary because Ministers of God have suddenly realized the need for revival because the church is dying, and it seems that the word of God is no more effective in the church as a result of the backsliding of some ministers of the gospel.
“I talked about government and also criticized certain anomalies they do, so it is in the church. Now, in the church, some ministers of the gospel have lowered the standard. We are supposed to preach repentance by calling on those living in sin to repent, but today, the general preaching is on money and prosperity. Thank God for our vice president, who got a revelation of the rapture where Jesus came and took away His people. The vision has ignited this revival meeting, and we are taking it all over the nation-bringing God back to His house. The House of God doesn’t belong to any bishop, reverend, or Pope but to God himself. We are here to cause revival,” he stated.
