Chief Eugene Nwaizugbe (Anyanwu Igbo) took time out of his busy schedule to appreciate the patriotic zeal of a few individuals by visiting the site of a major construction activity they are financing.
The construction involves the restoration of a critical road that has been abandoned for years and subsequently turned into a bush. The road in question is off Igwe Orizu Road from the former Lennox hotel and ends at St. Cletus Road right in front of the access to the Nwosu Ezeodumegwu compound.
The second part of the project involves control of significant active erosion coming from Egbu Umuenem towards Zim’s house on Igwe Orizu Road, ending far into Obiuno Otolo.
Anyanwu Igbo was full of praise for the patriotism of the few individuals, especially the enormous amount of money they were spending on these projects. Anyanwu Igbo said, “This is the type of project the federal government usually handles.”
“The project, when completed, will improve human and vehicular traffic,” Chief Nwaizugbe said. He continued, “It will significantly increase the management and control of the security within the Nnewi community.
“I will tell you that many bad elements used to hide in this area because of the impregnable nature of the bush that used to be here before the restoration work.”
Vision Newspapers’ team toured the site with Chief Nwaizuigbe, and our team is appreciative of what they saw as well.
