The Spiritual Head of Soul Revival Outreach, Nnewi, Anambra State, Prophet Ikechukwu Uzukwu has blast Gov Charles Soludo for not running a people friendly administration.
Prophet Uzukwu who was speaking with journalists in Nnewi said that it is worrisome that the administration of Gov Soludo has continued to increase taxes, levies and fees inspite of the harsh economic situation in the country.
He pointed out that many people have lost their lives and precious items to the attack dogs of the government who go about as revenue collectors.
“People have been shouting about the activities of Shylock revenue collectors in Anambra State but Prof Soludo will not listen, he will rather deploy his media attack dogs on whoever that dares to complain.
“In Nnewi main market, the levies have risen from thirteen thousand Naira to over thirty thousand Naira which is over 150% increment. I have been warning him since 2022 to emulate Gov Adeleke of Osun State who reduced tax and levies the moment he assumed office.
“For the past three years, life has been hellish in Anambra as his tax masters are wrecking havoc all over the place, I am not saying that people should not pay their taxes and fees but it should be reasonable.
“He is not even listening to his APGA party people or carry them along, all his concern is selfish desire to remain in office. Gov Soludo has lost favour with many political gladiators because of arrogant attitude.
“Great leaders like Chris Ngige and Peter Obi are known to be good listeners and performers, they are known for listening to the heartbeat of their people. Rather than attacking critics, they look into the agitations and continue their good works.
Prophet Uzukwu noted that the loss of APGA to YPP in the last House of Representatives election rerun is an indication of what is to come in 2025 governorship election.
“YPP is a young political party which Sen Ifeanyi Ubah introduced and popularized in Anambra State and beyond, nobody can make a political party with an ‘over sabi’ attitude which Gov Soludo is well known for,” he asserted.
Prophet Uzukwu said as a matter of fact that the 2025 guber polls will not be a walk in the park for the the incumbent governor who according to him has lost favour with the people.
