Ahead the scheduled ward, Local Government and State Congresses, Anambra State Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appointment a 14 man Zoning Committee.
This fact was contained in a press release signed by the Publicity Secretary of PDP in the state, Mr Nnamdi Nwangwu made available to journalists.
Nwangwu noted that the appointment was sequel to a meeting of the caretaker committee held at the party Secretariat, Udoka Housing Estate, Awka, Anambra State on Friday.
“Chairman of the party, Hon Ndubisi Nwobu at the meeting commended the National Working Committee led by His Excellency Dr Iyorchia Ayu, for the able leadership of the party in the country, as well as the confidence reposed in the State Leadership and assured the NWC of our unwavering loyalty and commitment to the project of Rebuilding and Rescuing Nigeria.
“In consideration of the release of timetable and schedule of activities for the conduct of Wards, LGAs and State Congresses (February 1, 2022 – March 8, 2022) in adherence to the party constitution CAP 1(7)3c for equitable allocation of party offices, do hereby appoint the following members, to Zone all State Executive offices amongst the three Senatorial Zones.” Nwangwu pointed out.
Members of the zoning committee include: Iyom Barr Josephine Anenih – Chairman, former PDP National Woman Leader, former Minister of Women Affairs and Life member PDP BoT, Rt Hon Chukwuka Onyema – Member, former Minority Leader and Member House of Representatives, Mr Valentine Ozigbo – Member 2021 PDP Governorship Candidate, Mrs Azuka Enemo – Member 2021 PDP Deputy Governorship Candidate and Hon Obinna Chidoka – Member, Current Member House of Reps.
Others are Hon Chinedu Onwuaso – Member, Current Member House of Reps, Hon Ebele Ejiofor – Member,
