The Anambra State government has applauded the newly inaugurated security outfit ‘Udo Ga-Chi’ for their wonderful exploits over a very short time.

The commendation was contained in a post State Executive Council meeting press release, signed by the Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor PhD, made available to journalists yesterday.
“Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC), at its second meeting of the year, which took place in the Council Chamber on February 10, 2025, gave Operation Udo Ga-Achi, the state’s new security intervention, a high rating and urged it not to relent.

“While reviewing the impact of the new Anambra State Homeland Security Law 2025, the Council chastised those demonizing and misrepresenting the new law as being against traditional worship, noting that it is an essential component of Igbo traditional religion and culture.
“The Council restated that the new law was designed to combat crime and criminality committed by quacks and evil native doctors, particularly those who pervert and alter the core values of the Igbo society, those who promote and teach the acquisition of wealth without work, and those who deceive the younger generation and unwary members of society.
“The Council further reaffirmed that the State Government has not and will not outlaw traditional worship. The Council further called for moral rearmament and social re-engineering to restore the lost values of the society and ensure a healthy future for the state,” Mefor said.
He said that the government appreciated the beneficiaries of the “1Youth, 2Skills” Scheme during the past two years, who came together to freely train 1,000 additional youths, for their gesture which according to him, marked the beginning of a new era and was exceptional.
