FG secures release of 100 pupils abducted in Niger school attack


The Federal Government has secured the release of 100 pupils abducted on November 21 from St. Mary’s Private Catholic Primary and Secondary School, Papiri, in the Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State.

The successful rescue of the 100 children was confirmed to AFP by presidential spokesman Sunday Dare, who did not reveal weather or not the remaining 165 students and staff are still in the hands of the kidnappers.

It was gathered that the rescued children would be handed over to local government officials in Niger state on Monday.
