The Former Commissioner for Women Affairs in Anambra State, Hon. Bridget Obi has warmly celebrated the Former Chair, Police Service Commission, Chief Dr. Simon Okeke (Ochendo Amichi) as he marked his 90th birthday.
Hon. Bridget Obi, one of the Board of Directors of Heavenly Elderly Charity Arena Foundation (HECHARENA) said they came to honour a man that has shown that age is wisdom, knowledge, and mentoring, adding that Ochendo at 90 still strong as someone at 50.
HECHARENA is a growing leading charity foundation in Nigeria for under privileged, destitute and elderly, funded by donations.
While addressing some Newsmen at the grand reception at the Super Royal Hotel, Amichi, Hon. Obi encouraged people to take care of the elderly and widows in the society.
“The elderly people are the people that have invested their lives in growing the society.They have raised people and invested what the younger generations are enjoying today.
“Ochendo Amichi is somebody people will look up to.He has lived a good life which is an investment for younger ones” she added.
She congratulated him for the distinguished services he has rendered to the country so far and prayed he continues to live in good health.
