Four gunmen have earlier this morning been neutralized by security operatives in Isuofia, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Isuofia is Gov Charles Soludo’s village.
The Anambra State Commissioner for Information, Paul Nwosu, revealed this in a press release.
The commissioner said that a gang of gunmen struck the Nigerian Army checkpoint at Afor-Uzo Junction, Isuofia this morning.
He said that unfortunately for the hoodlums they met their Waterloo.
“Our gallant and alert security agents who gave them a hot chase immediately returned fire and neutralized four of the gang members in a fierce exchange of shootings. Their Toyota Avenza, with which they launched the deadly operation, was recovered.
“The government of Anambra State wishes to reassure the people of their safety, especially during this yuletide season.

Commissioner Paul Nwosu stressed the need for all hands to be on deck to take back Anambra State.
