Gov Soludo warned against 5th columnists

From Ifeoma Ejiofor

The Anambra State, Prof Charles Soludo has warned against 5th ocolumnists who are bent on frustrating his noble intentions for the state.

This warning was dropped by the Coordinator Keke Drivers Forum, Comrade Obi Ositadimma while chatting with journalists in Awka.

Comrade Obi pointed out that the protest carried out by Keke operators recently was actually not against the government but against the union officials who were still insisting that the drivers must pay the annual membership renewal levy which the government said it is no longer necessary in the new arrangement.

He noted that the government had earlier announced that15 percent of the collections would be given to union which according to him should be enough for the union officials to stop their intimidation of members.

Comrade Obi expressed surprise that the same people who engineered the protest have again gone to pay solidarity visit to the governor.

“There are three 5th columnists in the administration of Gov Soludo who are behind the whole thing, they are the beneficiaries of the old order who are bent on frustrating the digitalization of Anambra State Internally Generated Revenue.” Comrade Obi declared.

He alleged that the Secretary to the State Government is the head of the 5th columnists who are working from inside against Gov Soludo.

“The SSG know all the revenue/earning scavengers, Soludo should sack the SSG if he actusocally wants to execute his good plans for the state, refusing to sack the SSG and the other columnists in his government will amount to over simplicity.

“Keke union makes over four million Naira (N4m) daily just for sales of tickets, this is outside other levies and, the governor should ask Transport Owners Association of Nigeria the whereabout of the money.” He stressed
