Group hails Kalu on new role as Chairman Senate Committee on SEDC

A popular political pressure group known as Orji Uzor Kalu Grassroots Movement of Nigeria has forwarded message of felicitation to their principal Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu, a former Governor of Abia State representing Abia North Senatorial District on his appointment as the Chairman Senate Committee on Southeast Development Commission (SEDC)

In a message signed by the national leader of the group Alhaji Muritala Mohamed alias ‘ten ten’ made available to journalists, the group described the appointment as a wonderful choice by the Senate under the leadership of Godswill Akpabio as Senate President because according to the group the former Abia governor is capable with enough experience to serve in that capacity.

The message reads “On behalf of the entire members of OUK Grassroots Movement we felicitate with our principal on his appointment as the Chairman Senate Committee on SEDC. We want to emphatically say that the Senate under the leadership of Distinguish Senator Godswill Akpabio a former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, has made a wonderful choice

“We are convinced beyond reasonable doubt that our principal will bring his wealth of experience to bear in the affairs of SEDC and the entire members of the SEDC board including the staff will be assured of working with a capable hand, a team player and inspirational leader and businessman who is well experienced enough to contribute to make things work in SEDC.

“Let’s us also seize this opportunity to once more thank President Ahmed Bola Tinubu for approving the creation of SEDC and at the same time appeal to the board members to ensure a good working atmosphere embedded in brotherhood and team work so as to ensure that the purpose of which SEDC was created is achieved
