The people’s presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi (Okwute), paid a surprise visit to Chief Dr. Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma CON (Okpuzu Ndigbo).
Visionnewspapers online notes that it was during the tenure of Peter Obi that Innoson vehicles became the mainstay of the Anambra government.

It was the policy of Peter Obi’s government to patronize home-grown industries. Innoson vehicles and Zinox computers were major beneficiaries of Obi’s policy. Although, the support came with a caveat that every product the state acquired was of high quality.
Innoson, a brand well known beyond the shores of Nigeria, is into auto manufacturing, oil and gas, motorbikes and tricycles, tyres and tubes, and plastics industries, etc.
Mr. Peter Obi took time to inspect the latest Innson pickup model fitted with the latest technological advancement in the automobile industry.
Earlier, Mr. Peter Obi had paid a condolence visit to the family of the late FC Maduka at Umudim Nnewi.
