The leading aspirant for the Anambra South Senatorial seat has called on Anambra State government to quickly come to the assistance of the victims of the Nnewi market incident.
Hon Ubajaka also called on the Chairman of the Council, Hon Anazodo, to direct his people to get the accurate data of those who lost their source of livelihood as a result of the fire incident. “The data should be helpful for the good-spirited individuals or NGOs who may wish to donate to the victims,” Hon Ubajaka admonished.
Hon Ubajaka extends heartfelt gratitude to the firefighters, including Prof Ugboaja, the Chief Medical Director of NAUTH, who released the hospital’s fire fighting trucks that ensured the fire was put out.
He called on all the leadership of the entire market to guard up. “This is the time you all must meet without prejudice to harmer out an integrated fire policy in all the markets and parks in Nnewi,” Ubajaka said.
Hon Ubajaka also uses the opportunity to call on all the leaders of the various markets in Anambra South Senatorial Zone to meet to ensure that such incidents do not happen in their markets.
