Following the death of Pope Francis and his Spartan lifestyle that endured to his demise, the leading aspirant for the vacant Senatorial seat had called on the elites of Nigeria, particularly, the Anambra South Senatorial Zone to emulate the way Pope Francis had lived his life.

“To save Nigeria from tearing apart from the seam, there is need for the elites to show compassion to the poor, and encourage policies that must show the lessening of burden to the less privileged,” Sir Ubajaka said.
“The struggling people should not carry the impossible task of promulgating policies that will narrow the widening gap between the welloff and the poor in our society,” bemoaned Hon Ubajaka.

He continues: “the elected representatives at all levels in the country should study what being a servant of the people by studying the open and firm commitment of the late Pope to economic and social justice for a just and egalitarian society.
“How many cars, houses, etc, can a person own in the face of biting poverty the people are experiencing? Shall we all not reflect on the fact that the only net worth of the late Pope Francis after his death was only one dollar ($1), but the Pope was vastly richer in how he affected the citizens of the world.”
Hon Ubajaka assured the people of Anambra South Senatorial Zone that when he is elected, that the principle of simplicity and compassion shall remain his guiding compass while serving them.
