The ambition of Barr Johnmary Akachukwu Maduakolam to represent the people of Ihiala in the green chamber of the National Assembly got a boost yesterday as the youths of the area endorsed his candidature.
A spokesperson for the youths, Mr Chukwuemeka Isaac, during an interactive session with the YPP House of Representatives candidate, said that Barr Akachukwu Maduakolam’s antecedents spoke volumes about his capacity and capabilities.
Isaac pointed out that the youths are prepared to take their destinies into their own hands this time by sending a responsible person to be their eyes and voice in the National Assembly.
He said that of all the candidates, nursing ambition to represent Ihiala, Barr Maduakolam, a UK-trained lawyer, stands shoulder higher than the others.
“Barr Johnmary Akachukwu Maduakolam of YPP is the only candidate who has come up with a clear-cut program and manifesto. I must also state here for posterity’s sake that he has positively impacted the youths of Ihiala with his JAMIE initiative.
“Many students got the opportunity to continue and conclude their studies in different schools because of his intervention. Barr Maduakolam did all those things with his resources.
“I heard that someone who didn’t do anything for anyone in his watch as our representative in the first term is begging that he should be sent back so that he can be a ranking member of House of Representatives, the simple answer to that is there is no need to reinforce failure.” The spokesperson for the youths asserted.
Isaac appealed to all the good people of Ihiala to join hands with the youths in their bid to enthrone responsible and responsive representation for the area in the National Assembly by giving their mandate to Barr Maduakolam, an Anambra-based legal practitioner.
“The products of the so called political godfathers have taken us for a ride for so long, it’s time to terminate their stranglehold on Ihiala federal constituency. We can no longer tolerate their mediocrity, we want Ihiala to have a feel of quality representation like our people in Nnewi.” He concluded.
