The people of Ihiala local government area of Anambra State on Sunday celebrated the 63rd Nigeria independence in a grand style.
The Independence anniversary celebration held at Holy Ghost Juniorate playing field, Ihiala.
The Transition Committee (TC) Chairman for the council area, Hon Anayo Orjiakor while speaking at the occasion appreciated the great milestones recorded by the Nigeria nation.
He applauded the founding heros of Nigeria who according to him laid down their lives to actualize independence for the country.
Hon Orjiakor appealed to all Nigerians to build positively on foundation laid by the nation’s founding fathers.
“I appeal to all Nigerians to continue to keep faith in their country, Anambra State and Ihiala LGA. We must all be thinking of what to do to make Nigeria great again.
“Anambra State is blessed to have Gov Charles Soludo at this point in time, he is passionately committed to the development of our dear state, we should all support him to take Anambra to the next level.” Hon Orjiakor stressed .
The highlight of the occasion was speeches from distinguished personalities and prayers for Nigeria, Anambra State and Ihiala LGA.
