Information Commissioner highlights Gov Soludo’s security interventions in Jerome Udoji Secretariat

The Anambra State Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor PhD has highlighted the interventions of Gov Charles Soludo at Jerome Udoji Secretariat, Awka.

Law Mefor said, “In response to the security challenges facing the Jerome Udoji Secretariat Complex, Awka, the Anambra State Government, under the leadership of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has implemented a series of security-based interventions aimed at ensuring the safety and security of the complex.

“Key Interventions include: The installation of 40 CCTV cameras, which enables live coverage of the complex to enhance surveillance, two hybrid solar-powered control rooms have been set up to receive live feeds from the CCTV cameras to ensure uninterrupted monitoring and effective incident response.

“Installation of solar-powered lights to illuminate the secretariat environment at night, deterring potential security threats and ensuring a safe working environment.

“Barbed wires have been installed around the perimeter fence to reduce unauthorized entry, while iron protectors have been mounted on doors and windows to prevent illegal access.

“Identified illegal access points enabled by uncovered drainages have been covered, and the management of the security team has been changed to strengthen security administration. The access road leading to the secretariat has been rehabilitated, ensuring easy access and enhancing the overall security of the complex.

“These and other interventions being considered demonstrate the workers’ friendly Governor Soludo’s commitment to addressing the security challenges facing the Jerome Udoji Secretariat Complex and ensuring a safe and secure working environment for employees.”
