Chief Dr. Innocent Chukwuma’s (OFR) automobile company, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Vehicle (IVM), has awarded a N3 million scholarship to Joy Ejikeme, who was the best-performing candidate in the Unified Tertiary Examination (UTME) for the 2023 academic year.
The chairman of Innoson Group has made education the cornerstone of his civic and corporate social responsibility by investing and partnering with several higher institutions to promote skills acquisition, including special endowments in research and development in automotive and agricultural machinery.
The award to Joy Ejikeme is in line with the established policy of the IVM and its principal promoter to keep empowering young people, including those who are brilliant but do not have the means to further their education.
Joy is the daughter of an Okada rider from Enugu state, who prides his trade in Nnewi. She is also a student at Anglican Secondary School, Nnewi.
The Chairman of Innoson Group advised the lucky candidate to keep working harder in pursuing her dreams. He also challenged other students and schools to emulate what Ms. Ejikeme and Anglican Girls Secondary Nnewi had done.
