Barr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the lawyer of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Chinelo Edwin Ejimbe, Chukwuemeka Nnamdi Osuigwe, Engr Eloka Clement Ike, and fifty-one others were on Sunday inducted into the knighthood of St Christopher of the Anglican Communion.

Their wives were also inducted into the Ladies of St Christopher.

The induction ceremony which took place at Cathedral Church of St Mary, Nnewi, Anambra State attracted eminent personalities.

The bishop, diocese of Nnewi Anglican communion, Rt Revd Ndubuisi Obi and other clergies officiated at the occasion.

In his sermon titled ‘Maximizing your churchmanship’, Bishop Obi urged Christians to take their profession of faith seriously.

He pointed out that Knighthood is not an occultic organization and that the inductees are specially selected to deepen Christianity.

The prelate charged the newly inducted knights to allow Jesus Christ be seen in their homes, professions, endeavors and wherever they find themselves.

He urged them to avoid anything that would smear the image of the Knighthood and the body of Christ.

Bishop Obi noted that the inducted knights must never be members of any secret cult and that Jesus Christ must be central to their existence.

The chairman of the newly inducted knights, Sir Maduluno Anyachor on behalf of himself and others promised to give maximum support to the church.

Chukwuemeka Osuigwe, a scion of the late Azubueze Osuigwe, joined his brothers, Chief Oseloka Osuigwe and Afam Osuigwe SAN to the Order.

Chukwuemeka Osuigwe is a level-headed man who gives generously to people in need. His kindness and responsibility to the church obviously did not go unnoticed despite his quiet nature.

Sir Osuigwe was grateful to God for the recognition of himself and his wife. He believes to one whom much is given that a commensurate measure is expected in return.

The New York-based businessman inductee, Sir Chinelo Ejimbe, in an interview with Vision Newspapers, thanked God for the privilege of being considered for St Christopher’s knighthood.

He expressed his preparedness to continue to uphold the light of the gospel and do more for God, the church, and humanity.

Similarly, Sir Eloka Clement Ike, while speaking, said that the induction was a confirmation of the childhood prophesy on him as he was called Sir Ike in his early days at Nnewi High School.

Engr (Sir) Ike, who aspires to represent Nnewi North Local Government Area in the Anambra State House of Assembly come 2023, also expressed his preparedness to be more available in the service of God and humanity.
