LG Chairmanship election: Amb.Muoneke emerges flag bearer of YPP

In preparation for the Local Government elections, the Young Progressive Party (YPP) has officially announced Amb Paul Muoneke as the winner of the YPP Chairmanship primaries held in Uruagu, Nnewi on Sunday, the 25th of August 2024.

Speaking during the occasion, Amb.Muoneke expressed his sincere gratitude to the members of Transformation Ambassadors of Nnewi who supported and stood by him.

He said that he would always take supports and suggestions from all of them on how to make Nnewi great again.

“Your support and encouragement fueled my passion to serve and make a difference in the leadership of Nnewi North Local Government Area. I am honored to have your trust and confidence in me ” he said

Amb.Muoneke said that time has come to make Nnewi the Japan of Africa, adding that they had no other place to call their home.

He revealed since he did well as the President of Nnewi Youth Forum that he would do wonders “if they give him another opportunity because the reward for good work is more works”.

Amb.Muoneke said based on the recent Supreme Court judgment on Local Government financial autonomy that he would ensure that the funds neccessary to fulfil the promises in his manifesto would be available,adding that creative management of revenue generation within the Local Government would further support those initiatives.

” All spending will be transparently accounted for,with regular publication of financial reports” he added

“I thank you for being part of this journey.I look forward to continuing to work together with members of TAN” he expressed

The entire members of YPP Stakeholders of Nnewi North heartily congratulated the incoming Chairman for the victory.

They said “they are solidly with Amb.Muoneke “adding that Nnewi must be liberated in honour of their fallen hero Sen.Ifeanyi Ubah.
