A Human Rights promoter, Grassroot Empowerment cooperator and a Cyber Security Expert, Dr Uba Chidibere Nonso has on Wednesday, 18th of September 2024 proven himself to be worthy of any leadership position given to him.
Dr Uba, who made his intention known earlier to contest for Chairmanship position under the platform of Labour Party in the forthcoming Local Government election scheduled on 28th of September, 2024; has broken records among all the Candidates vying for Chairmanship position in Nnewi North, Anambra State.
Remarkably, Uba Chidiebere being an upright and vibrant youth with heart of gold organized a Special Sensitization Workshop, Stakeholders Prayer and Empowerment which over 1,000 participants were empowered.
It must be noted that Priests from different denominations came together to prayer for the good and betterment of the country, State and Nnewi community at Ana-Edo Social Club of Nigeria,Nnewi.
Dr Uba in his remarks commended His Excellency Mr Peter Obi, Presidential candidate of Labour Party in the 2023 Presidential election for his efforts and commitment in keeping the Party strong and United.
He called him (Mr. Peter Obi) his hero whose achievement and doggedness would continue to inspire him to fight for the betterment of his people, Nnewi.
Chidiebere promised his people if they support him, he would eradicate poverty through a Social Capital Empowerment Package called Poverty Must Go Initiative.
He assured the people of Nnewi that food security and employment would be secured through World Bank Assisted Agricultural and Entrepreneurship Development Center(AEDC) partnership.
On security, Uba said he shall install High-Tech Security and Forensic Street Monitoring Devices,Drones and Cyber Protection Security Gadgets with Streets/Traffic Light Cameras which would compliments the efforts of police and security operatives in making Nnewi North a secured place to be in the whole of South East of Nigeria.
He further disclosed that Healthcare Centers in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State would be entitled to one good General Hospital through their partnership with State Government and Stakeholders in Nnewi.
He said, poor brilliant students would be empowered through Award Winning Quiz, Qebate and Competition in the LGA for scholarship and also activate free SSCE Examination with free JAMB Forms for every Nnewi Students with 5 credits.
“By God’s Grace, we shall continue to empower people at grassroot levels.” he added
