The paramount ruler of Nnobi Community, HRM Igwe (Engr) Muodum Nick Obi has toured the community’s general hospital to see the medical equipment distributed to the hospital by Anambra State governor, Prof Charles Soludo.
Igwe Obi was received by the community women leader, Lady Ifeyinwa Nnekwelugo, Chief Medical Director(CMD) of the hospital, Dr Caleb Mmaduneme, a stakeholder in Nnobi, Chief Azubuike Nwabugwu.
The CMD, Dr Caleb took Igwe Nick Obi round the hospital to see the new sets of medical equipment supplied by Gov Soludo.
The equipment included two oxygen trolleys, two sterilizers (Autoclave) One Theatre light, four stainless waste bins, four adjustible theatre stools, five ward screens, one instrument trolley, two instrument tables, one angle poised lamb, four sterilizing drums, four patients monitors, two suction machines, ten drip stand, one stretcher, one incubation tray, one C/S Set.
Others are one Nebulizer, two oxygen cylinders, two oxygen regulators, one theatre bed, four hospital beds (A & E Department), Hematology analyzer, Incubator, Autoclave, Electrophoresis Machine for Genotype, Haematocrit Centrifuge, a microscope and Chemistry semi-autoanalyzer, one wheel chair, one Hisense 43” Television, one Hisense Refrigerator and one Go Tv Decoder.
Igwe Nick Obi who commended Gov Soludo noted that the equipment would help the medical officers to discharge their duties effectively.
He said that Gov Soludo’s commitment to revamping the health sector is part of his administration’s MEGA SOLUTION Agenda.
“The free delivery, antenatal services is a prelude to the health sector programme that will also ensure that Anambra people have access to good medical treatments available in the General hospitals in the state,”he noted.
The Nnobi paramount traditional ruler equally applauded prominent sons of the community and the diaspora community who have invested so much in the renovation and beautification of the hospital.
He singled out and commended High Chief Obinna Ufudo (Ochendo Nnobi) and High Chief Emeka Hamilton Ezeonu (Ikemba Nnobi) who according to him have contributed a lot to the restructuring of the hospital.
The monarch who is the first gas engineer in Nigeria however appealed to Ndi-Nnobi and residents alike to make good use of the hospital.
