NAUTH’s CMD, Prof Ugboaja, bags another chieftaincy title

Barely twenty four hours after he was honoured with a chieftaincy title by Igwe Nnewi, HRH, Dr KON Orizu 111(JP), the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH) Nnewi, Prof Joseph Odirichukwu Ugboaja (OON) has bagged another chieftaincy title from Ifitedunu Monarch, Igwe Dr Chukwuemeka Ilouno(Eze Dunu 11).

Prof Ugboaja was conferred with ‘Nwannedinamba’ title during the 2023 Ofala Festival of Eze Dunu 11 which took place at Mimi Stadium, Central school, Ifitedunu.

Igwe Dr Ilouno in his speech at the occasion said that he was delighted and elated with the return of peace to the community.

Eze Dunu 11 expressed gratitude to the Anambra State governor, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo and his team for being instrumental to the development.

He said that the 2023 occasion marked his 18th year on throne and his 5th Ofala festival.

Eze Dunu 11 noted that Ifitedunu is a blessed community with wonderful people who are always yearning for and constantly pursuing development of their community.

Igwe Dr Ilouno said that Ifitedunu people are mindful of the great legacy of their progenitor, Dunu Okofia who according to him was noted for his exploits in farming, hunting, arts and wizardry in herbal medicine.

The highly revered Ifitedunu monarch said that the CMD of NAUTH, Prof Ugboaja was singled out for conferment of chieftaincy title on because of his giant footprint and enviable landmark achievements he has recorded in office.

He said that the achievements of Prof Ugboaja is what every lover of good should be proud of.

Eze Dunu 11 of Ifitedunu said that the immense contributions of Prof Ugboaja to NAUTH in a record time is commendable and his toward bringing Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital to his community is worthy of honour and commendation.

He said that NAUTH has dramatically and positively changed health care delivery to Ifitedunu people.

In his speech after the conferment of the Chieftaincy title on him, the CMD of NAUTH, Prof Joseph Odirichukwu Ugboaja thanked the Ifitedunu Monarch and the entire people of Ifitedunu for the honour.

He promised to take NAUTH Ifitedunu to a greater hight and the hospital one of the best in health care delivery in the catchment area.

Prof Ugboaja at the occasion also prayed for the Ifitedunu Royal Father and his family.

Pastor Ben Akabueze the Director General (DG) Budget and Planning Abuja, while speaking with journalists congratulated the CMD of NAUTH on his new title.

He said that the Ifitedunu chieftaincy title and others are manifestation of the landmark achievements of Prof Joseph Ugboaja in office.

Pastor Akabueze noted that the CMD has demonstrated brotherly love towards Ifitedunu people by taking NAUTH Annex to the community and his commitment toward it’s firm grounding and growth.

Chief of Staff and Technical Adviser to the CMD, Mr Njoku (MLS) congratulated his principal, Prof Ugboaja, he described him as a great guy.

He noted that all the recognitions coming the way of the CMD are in recognition and appreciation for the things he had done since he assumed office as CMD of NAUTH.

Mr Njoku pointed out that the NAUTH’s CMD is a simple and an amiable leader with transformational agenda powered by integrity and desire for great achievements.

The occasion was attended by Royal Fathers from far and near, political bigwigs and staff and management of NAUTH Nnewi and other dignitaries.
