The ancient city of Azia in Ihiala LGA of Anambra State has reason to roll out drums again to celebrate as their newly coronated monarch, HRH Igwe Francis Ugochukwu Chikezie(Ugodinobi) on Tuesday got his Certificate of Recognition from Gov Charles Soludo.
Recall that Igwe Ugodinobi was coronated last week Friday in an elaborate ceremony that attracted distinguished personalities from far and near.
The presentation took place at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia.
The governor while speaking at the occasion charged the monarch to make all efforts to keep his community in perfect equilibrium.
Prof Soludo said as a matter of fact that the Royal Fathers in the state have been collaborating with his administration and that Igwe Ugodinobi is not expected to be an exception.
Igwe Azia while speaking with journalists after receiving the Certificate of Recognition from Anambra State number 1 man thanked the governor for creating time to perform the ceremony inspite of his busy schedule.
He also appreciated the government for chatting the cause that eventually ended the nine year royal tussle in his community.
Igwe Ugodinobi noted that the people of Azia have been missing out of every opportunity available to other communities because of the wranglings.
He thanked God that the issue of crises have ended in Azia and that his community is prepared to take her pride of place in the commity of towns in Anambra State in particular and Nigeria in general.
“I’m happy and excited that war is over in Azia, we are now one united indivisible entity ready to work together as a people for the betterment of Azia, with the support of all and sundry in the my town, we shall take Azia to greater heights by the grace of God,” he stressed.
The occasion of the presentation of Certificate of Recognition to Igwe Ugodinobi by Gov Soludo was attended by large number of people from Azia kingdom who added colour and class to the occasion in no small measure.
