Newly inaugurated Agunechemba security outfit busts another kidnap syndicate

Combined security forces code named Agunechemba has successfully raided a kidnapper’s hideout in Enugwu Agidi, Njikoka LGA of Anambra State leading to the arrest of a key suspect and recovery of a substantial cache of weapons.

The operation, conducted in the early hours of Thursday was carried out by joint troops of the newly launched ‘Udo Ga Chi’ and ‘Agunechemba’ security initiatives.

Acting on credible intelligence, the forces apprehended Mr. Chukwudi Tansi, identified as a member of a suspected kidnapping syndicate.

Two AK-47 rifles, eight pump action guns, and four locally made pistols, three packets of cartridges containing 101 rounds, four empty AK-47 magazines, three cutlasses, a Baofeng radio, a motorcycle, and various charms were recovered during the raid.

This successful operation will go a long way to confirms the effectiveness of Gov Soludo’s new security offensive in Anambra State, demonstrating the administration’s commitment to combating criminal activities.

The coordinated efforts of the ‘Udo Ga Chi’ and ‘Agunechemba’ security units represent a strategic approach to maintaining law and order in the state with the support of other state police command.

Recall that the group has recorded significant breakthrough in Umunze, Lilu, Oba and other communities of the state, which would boost public confidence in the state’s security apparatus and contribute to the overall peace and stability of the state.
