The Presiding Bishop of Believers General Assembly (BGA), Bishop Dr. Jude Onyebuchi Godwin has pleaded with Nigerians to be patient with God because things will surely change. He made this clear during an exclusive interview shortly after the Church Service in commemoration of his 60th Birthday Anniversary Celebration last Sunday. The vibrant and dynamic Prelate who is well-known for his good nature of kindness and hospitality averred that this era of uncertainty will soon pass. In his words: “” My message to Nigerians is that they should be patient with God because things will surely change. This era will surely pass. While living patiently with God, they have to accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior, because life does not wait for anyone. The best thing anyone can receive in life is Jesus and with Jesus all things are possible and things will surely get better.””. Being born in 1964 which ushered in a very difficult time in Igboland; he was asked if he was a victim. He answered that he was not directly affected, but whatever affected his people equally affected him, saying:”” It was a very serious and sorrowful time in Igboland, but today, God has healed, restored and projected us for greatness. I can’t go back to the past. God said we should forget the past so that we will be able to see the goodness and blessings that are coming.”” On what life has been like, he responded:””It was very hectic and dry. Hardship was very pronounced and real, but thank God for His Grace and for His Miracles, because today, we have a lot of testimonies and evidence.”” Asked about the turning point of his life, he opened up: “”The turning point started when I gave my life to Christ and things changed automatically. Today, I’m bold to say that Jesus is Lord and He loves me so much.”” On what life has taught him he replied: “” Life has taught me a lot of things especially patience. Life has taught me to be patient with God and with men. Whatever you are unable to get today, tomorrow, you can get it.”” On his message to the youths, he offered:”” I want to tell the youths that life is all about God. They should not try to force themselves into life. Let them wait for God and be acquainted with the ways of God and He will direct their footsteps and bless them. The Bible says that the steps of the righteous are ordered by God. The moment they receive Jesus Christ into their lives as personal Lord and Savior, God will start directing their steps and it will surely be well with them.”” Finally, he appreciated his members that are in the diaspora and thanked them for their gift of Love assuring them of his prayers for them. He rounded up by cautioning the youths that whatever that is happening in Nigeria should be left in the hands of God as He will fix it. That they should not put their hands in the wrong things and that they should not go ahead of God, but learn to follow God patiently and it will be well with everyone.
