National Coordinator of Obidient Movement Dr Tanko Yunusa has strongly stated that Peter Obi would be victorious in 2027 presidential election based on his antecedent.
He disclosed this on Saturday 9th of November,2024 at the All Saints Cathedral Auditorium in Onitsha,Anambra State during a day symposium focused on strengthening and repositioning the Movement for greater impact and strategic development.
Yunusa said people have seen the difference especially the people in North who had been so disappointed with the present government because what they thought as Muslim Muslim ticket did not favour them neither did it bring food on their table.
He was embittered on security,sound health, quality education and good road which Nigerians were denied which he said was not leadership.
Yunusa said they were accused during 2023 general election that they lacked structure yet Obi won the election and was denied victory because of electoral malpractice adding that this time around history would not repeat itself.
“We are going to have our agents readily available before the 2027 general election,training and retraining them
“We will advocate for electoral reform.We will champion it both legally and physically.We will move our people on the road,in the court,including delivery our document to the Ñational Assembly” Yunusa said
He disclose the issue of voters information been given would be done instantly and according to the law.
Yunusa said for a clean and clear election that would represent the interest of Nigerians to be conducted , selection of INEC chairman must be done in a way free from president’s interference so that he would not be controlled.
Similarly,Prof Pat Utomi ,the keynote speaker at symposium noted that since Nigerians have failed to produce a credible president for the country for many years now,the next is to use Obidient Movement to achieve the desire goal.
He added that “together we can create anew Nigerian”
Comrade Joseph ,the National Chairman of Obidient Harmonization Movement,from Adamawa State said the Obidient in the North have been held captive for a while now adding that their eyes have opened to take back what belong to them.
He revealed that the Northeners regretted voting in this present government. Jeseph said they were brain-washed in 2023 general election that Peter Obi would divide Nigeria but not anymore because “their eyes are now open”
Others who spoke at the event were governorship aspirant of Labour Party,Chief Valentine Ozigbo,Hon Dr Justin Kingland Ezeani,one of founding members of Obidient Movement and Chief John Nwosu who noted that Anambra State must take a new face in 2025 governorship election.
