Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation carries out enlightenment campaign on health benefits of plantain consumption

Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation is not only known for her assistance to needy persons in the society, the group also , provide and support businesses to thrive.

Mr Nicholas Echezona Nsoedo (Omepuruchukwu Anedo) the Creator of the Foundation as part of his efforts to ensure healthy living especially among the elderly persons set up a plantain plantation in Egbu Umuenem Otolo-Nnewi, Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The plantation according to the Creator of Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation is neither for fincianal gains nor profit making but another outlet of the foundation for the empowerment of elderly people in the society.

He said that it has become a point of duty for him to visit the aged and elderly and give his farm produce to them on regular basis.

Omepuruchukwu Anaedo at the occasion also carry out an enlightenment campaign on the health benefits of consumption of plantain. “We as a group have realized the nutritional value of plantain and that is why we are championing the education of the members of the public on the health benefit of plantain for healthy living.” He said.

The public enlightenment program which held at Nnewi headquarters of the Foundation was sponsored by Arch Anosike Onyedika Vincent Snr ( Ezechi-Chili Omeifeukwu Jesus 1).

Mr Nicholas Nsoedo the Creator of Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation who explained the benefits of plantain consumption noted that it digest easily in the body, helps in weight management, high in anti-oxides, good for heart and it is versatility is second to none. “Plantain is essential for maintaining the body fluids that help control the rate of heart beat and blood pressure.” He stressed.

The Creator of Foundation said that plantain is a rich source of fiber, vitamins A,C, and B-6, minerals magnesium and potassium.

Omepuruchukwu Anaedo encouraged every family to include plantain which he called hidden supper food in their diet.

He said that the plantain farm is an extension of Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation aimed at encouraging elderly and the aged for their health benefits.

Arch. Vincent Snr earlier in his speech praised the Creator of Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation, Mr Nsoedo for creating such platform of like mind persons who are proudly and positively impacting the society.

Ezechi-Chili Omeifeukwu Jesus 1 pointed out that he is happy to be a member of the group where love and cheerful giving is the hallmark.

An administrator of Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation, Ndedigwe Juliet expressed excitement for being a member of the group.

She said that the Foundation has been putting smiles on the faces of less privileged persons as well as support individuals to succeed in their chosen endeavors.
