Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation empowers members

From Ifeoma Ejiofor

It was excitement galore at the Umuenem, Otolo-Nnewi residence of Mr Nicholas Nsoedo, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation(Omepuruchukwu Anaedo) as he empowered two of his members.

The members Amara Anigbogu and Evag. Glory Ojukwu were empowered with a motorcycle each.

In a chat with journalists, Chief Nsoedo (Omepuruchukwu Anaedo) said that the foundation singled out the two members for empowerment because of their commitment and dedication to the group.

This according to him was coupled with the fact that the two ladies don’t have effective means of transporting themselves to their places of work.

“Amara Anigbogu is working at KOTEC Industries in Nnewi while Evang Glory Ojukwu is working at Blaze FM, Oraifite in Ekwusigo LGA of the State.

“The duo normally take commercial motorcycle to go to work, sometime, they don’t even have the money for Okada, I feel that the Foundation should assist them, after all, they are our members and Charity should actually begin as well as continue at home.

“Each motorcycle cost five hundred and fifty thousand Naira (N550, 000), we don’t look at the face of money in Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation, we have been empowering non members, we deem it fit to do same for our members who are very hard-working but without means.

“I’m very sure that the modest assistance we are giving them will make them to be more productive in their different places of work.”

Omepuruchukwu Anaedo, an obviously happy and contented personality pointed out that his life right from childhood has been that of assisting the less privileged.

“My philosophy in life is to assist humanity, infact it has always been my religion, interestingly, my philosophy has translated to the motto of Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation.

“We have done a lot in own capacity to empower the less privileged and disadvantaged persons, infact, when I was in South Africa, I was giving succour to Nigerians and non Nigerians in need.

“We have continued the process of emancipation of the needy through concrete empowerments since I returned to Nigeria but we don’t blow our trumpet, helping people is our life and existence, it makes us to be very happy whenever we put smile on the faces of the needy.” He noted.

In her speech, Evang Glory Ojukwu said she was happy to be a beneficiary of the good nature of the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation, Mr Nicholas Nsoedo (Omepuruchukwu Anaedo)

She recalled how the CEO assisted a poor girl when she was about to deliver and that since then, she has also decided to key into the activities of the group.

Evang Ojukwu who was in company of her husband and family friends said that she never expected to benefit anything from the group at such a short interval.

The Blaze FM staffer prayed for God’s continuous protection of the CEO of Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation and all the members.

Amara Anigbogu on her part said that she had a jalopy of bike and that the CEO of Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation normally joke with her that her struggle over means of going to work will soon be over.

She pointed out that she never in her wildest imagination think that Omepuruchukwu Anaedo was planning to buy a brand new motorcycle for her.

“I joined Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation just to see what they are doing in the group, I can say with all sense of responsibility that I thank God for making the move to be part of a group whose Motto is: Humanity is our religion.

The members, guests, families, relations and friends of the beneficiaries were treated to a sumptuous lunch during the occasion that attracted dignitaries from far and near.
