Anambra State Governor, Prof Charles Soludo has condoled with the grieving family of the deceased, Miss Chinwe Igwe and other victims of the Onitsha tragic incident.
Gov Soludo actually met with the family representatives from Ikwo in Ebonyi State at the Onitsha North LGA Headquarters, where he offered his condolences and support.

He reassured the family that their sorrow was shared by the entire state, underlining the interconnectedness of community in times of grief.
Gov Soludo promised a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Miss Igwe’s death even as he stressed the importance of accountability, stating that any security personnel found negligent would face prosecution.
“Every life matters,” he asserted, emphasizing that law enforcement must operate within established protocols to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
“Anambra is a state founded on law and order,” he declared, as he praised law enforcement agencies for their prompt response to the situation. He urged them to continue their efforts in upholding peace and stability across Anambra state.
He also visited New Hope hospital in Onitsha to express his sympathies to one of the injured individuals as well as two other victims receiving treatment at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital(NAUTH) Nnewi.
