The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT) has recognized the former national youth, Sunday Ude-Okoye as the national secretary of the opposition party.
The BoT, in a communique, issued after a meeting in Abuja, said Ude-Okoye’s recognition complies with a judgment of the Court of Appeal, Enugu Division.

It stated that the decision affirmed his nomination as a replacement for Senator Samuel Anyanwu as national secretary.
Consequently, the board charged the National Working Committee (NWC) to immediately swear in the former youth leader as party scribe.
