The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) has declared that the police officers involved in the alleged hitting of a woman in Rivers State have been arrested.
In a video that surfaced online on Friday, September 1, a female voice was heard raining curses on the police officers for allegedly hitting her sister during a stop-and-search in the Ada George area of Rivers State which resulted in a broken lip as seen in the video.
Sharing an update on Monday, September 4, via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle, the police said: “We want to inform our esteemed friends that the police officers allegedly involved in the incident from the video have been identified and are now in custody as part of our ongoing investigation. We are committed to ensuring a fair and thorough examination of this matter.”
