Nnewi community in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State marked a new turn as Prince Jude Osumuoh was elected the new President General of Nzuko-ora Nnewi Town Union.
Prof Edwin Chukwuma, who has conceded defeat to his opponent, Prince Jude Osumuoh on Sunday, 6th of April, 2025 has commended Nzuko-ora Nnewi BoT for
ensuring a free and fair election in just concluded Nzuko-ora Nnewi PG election.




In his words, Prof Chukwuma said “Election has come and gone, there must be a winner and the winner has emerged.”
He congratulated Prince Jude Osumuoh and urged the people of Nnewi to join hands in the development of their community, Nnewi.
On the same note, Amb Charles Nwonye, Former PG, Uruagu community said the election was free and fair but noted a small hitch which was BoT’s inability to keep time.
He said Prince Jude Osumuoh has a lot of work to do because a big responsibility has been given to him.
He further stressed that the constitution of Nzuko-ora Nnewi Town Union has decayed calling on the New PG to review the constitution and put things in order.
Hon Onyemaobi Okonkwo, Anunebe Nnewi lauded the BoT for conducting a free and fair election.
He advised the newly elected officials and those that lost to come together to build a better Nnewi.
He reminded the people of Nnewi that any decision they make today would determine their future.
