Professor Nkemdili Au Nonyelu has written to the Pro Chancellor to abide by the governing laws on appointment of an Acting Vice-Chancellor

The expiration of the tenure of Professor Ikechebelu as the Acting Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University following the ignoble imposition of an unqualified Vice Chancellor by the erstwhile Pro Chancellor, Chief Greg Mbadiwe, the new process of replacing him has trained the search light back at the university, perhaps for the wrong reasons.

The university community seems to be in harmony expressing an outrage to the permutations of the incumbent Pro Chancellor and the Chairman of the Governing Council, Barrister Monsur Olugbenga Kukoyi, in a bid to foist someone who is patently unqualified to man the position of an Acting Vice-Chancellor of a university at this time.

Therefore, Professor Nonyelu wrote the Pro Chancellor to the enabling laws to guide him. Beliw is Professor Nonyelu’s letter:
