The Publisher of Daily Vendor Newspaper, an online establishment, Ikechukwu Okafor has lost his sister, Chika Okafor to a ghastly road accident.
A statement from the Publisher said: “With a heavy heart and great sorrow, I announce the passing of my dear sister Chika Okafor.
“She died in a ghastly motor accident that occurred along Abatete road in Idemili North Local Goverment Area, Anambra State on Saturday, August 12.
“The lone accident which claimed the lives of all passengers onboard except the driver, involved a commercial Sienna bus belonging to Onitsha South Mass Transit.
“Chika was my only sister. And the unfortunate incident left a huge pain in our hearts. She died at the age of 51.
“We pray for God’s mercy and grace upon her and those left behind to mourn her.”
Okafor who was a Media aide to the former Corpse Marshall of FRSC, Chief Osita Chidoka said that the funeral arrangements would be announced soon.
