Security beefed up as mourners besiege Buhari’s Kaduna residence

Security has been reinforced around the residence of late former President Muhammadu on Jabi Close in Kaduna.

The immediate-past president died in London on Sunday after a brief illness.

President Bola Tinubu and other prominent individuals and organisations across the nation have expressed sadness over the ex-president’s death.

As the first set of sympathisers arrived the residence on Sunday evening, two military gun trucks could be seen positioned near the residence, as heavily armed soldiers patrolled the vicinity, restricting vehicular movement and preventing loitering on the narrow street.

Former Minister of Water Resources, Alhaji Suleiman Adamu, who was among the first visitors, disclosed that plans were underway to move the ex-president’s remains from London, United Kingdom to his hometown in Daura, Katsina State, for burial.
