Senator Chris Ngige was arraigned at the Federal Capital Territory High Court for Gwarinpa Abuja.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) brought an eight-count charge for corrupt practices against him in the discharge of his duties as Minister for Labour and Employment
The EFCC brought Ngige before Justice Maryam Hassan and charged him for contract fraud using his official position to award contracts to companies where he has interests.
Ngige pleaded not guilty to all the eight-count charges. The case was adjourned to Monday, December 15, 2025 to hear the bail application.
