Last night’s spirited efforts to apparently assassinate the favorite Anambra State Guber candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu in Abuja, the nation’s capital city of all places has really thrown the world’s undue attention to the Prof Charles Soludo-led Anambra State.
The situation, according to a non-governmental organization, the Sustenance of Faith in Good Governance (SOFIG) has left a sour taste in the mouths of all men of goodwill globally.
Asking why gun violence, bitter thuggery, kidnap and bloodshed have suddenly become the State’s new normal for the first time in history, the Director of Strategy and Mobilization of SOFIG, Dr Janet Maduka imagined how Gov Soludo sleeps every night with the situation of things under his supervision.
These suspected Soludo’s hunchos and gunmen had evidently assumed that they were above the law and therefore run the streets of Anambra and now extended to Abuja and the rest of Nigeria.
Dr Maduka said that the APC candidate, who was attacked at the premises of the Hilton Abuja by some armed hoodlums numbering about 10 led by an alleged notorious Abuja based conman, Steven Achema Akpa must have given his political opponents including the incumbent Gov Soludo.
The assailants who reportedly came in a flash seemingly from nowhere blocked Ukachukwu on his way out of the hotel.
The hoodlums insisted on talking to him and taking him away claiming he was owing them which he politely declined and rather offered a scheduled appointment, especially as he told them he didn’t know any of them.
Ukachukwu politely told them that as they could see he was on his way out to a very important business meeting.
But they refused, and instead chose to use guns on him to force him into submission to follow them.
The security men attached to the APC Governorship candidate noticed the unusual development and quickly rose to the occasion of protecting their principal from being whisked away by the strange gunmen.
Within less than three minutes, one Mr Ejiofor and the Anambra State Commissioner for Information, Barrister Law Mefor have hit the various social media platforms with the premeditated cheap blackmail. The planted cameras had taken their shots, and boom, it’s all over the places.
Even the hoodlums refused to state the business transaction they were referring to.
This simply show where all the brutality and planned target ugly assault going on in parts of Anambra all these while were coming from.
This was because Prof Soludo having failed woefully to deliver dividends of democracy to Ndi Anambra in the last 4 years and the citizens have openly rejected him, he now resorted to brutality against political opponents, including the very popular Ukachukwu.
SOFIG therefore note that “Instead of our dear Prof of Mass Killings, and mass burial”, to campaign, with his perceived achievements he has resorted to gangster politics.
Instead of using a list of his achievements to overwhelm the people, he now resorted to politics of the gun barrels.
SOFIG noted that Anambra citizens, especially the voters are hereby urged to vote him out on Nov 8 , 2025.
“Cast out Prof Chukwuma Soludo and his political minions into the outer darkness and rather elect Ukachukwu/Ekwunife to take over and rescue Anambra State from this decay. A stich in time, saves nine,” SOFIG declared.
