Labour Party Chieftain, Mr Valentine Ozigbo has criticized Governor Soludo’s measure to checkmate the high rate of insecurity in Anambra State, which he tagged “Operation Udo Ga Achi” as ill-timed and purely politics.
He made this known in Awka on 21st of December,2024 during his meeting with different groups interested in working with him to achieve a collective goal, which is winning 2025 gubernatorial election.
Addressing the groups, Val. Ozigbo said “peace and unity bring progress”,adding that united they stand, divided they fall”
He remarked “for one to succeed in a major project ,one need to lay a proper foundation which must be rooted in fear of God and respect for humanity and also must be rooted in peace and unity”.
Ozigbo said he believed that the Governor’s initiative would have come long before now,so that their people would come home for Christmas without fear.
He said Soludo lacked ideas and good advisers revealing that for the past 33 months in the office, the Governor failed to ensure adequate security in the State.
He said he expected Soludo to have addressed this issue of insecurity within 100 days of his administration.
“For me,Soludo’s initiative is purely politics, suspiciously timed to when he will declare for re- election. This also included how he awarded many roads,he doesn’t intend to finish just to score political points.” he added
He advised the Governor to act more and talk less.Ozigbo advised the people of Anambra State to seek first a good man with leadership qualities, promising that every other thing would be added to them.
He further disclosed that “they face problems today because according to him they pay more attention to empty promises made by dubious politicians.
He further advised the people of Anambra State to pay more attention to the candidates’ characters adding” when wicked people are in power the people suffer”.
“Today,we are suffering hunger and insecurity because of bad leadership. But we can correct this by electing good leaders with good characters.” he said
