Technical Glitch Prompts Air Peace To Divert Benin-Abuja Flight Back To Base

An Air Peace flight from Benin to Abuja on Monday returned to base due to a technical issue with the aircraft.

The airline disclosed this in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Ejike Ndulio.

Ndulio stated that the decision to return to base was a safety measure taken by the airline.

According to the statement, the aircraft landed safely in Benin, and passengers disembarked normally while the maintenance teams investigated the cause of the issue.

At the time of filing this report, the airline confirmed it was deploying a replacement aircraft to Benin to minimise disruptions and ensure passengers could continue their journeys as soon as possible.

The airline also appealed to passengers for their understanding, reiterating that the action was taken for safety reasons.

The statement added, “We appeal for the understanding of the passengers affected and others whose flights will be delayed as a result of this unforeseen development.

“Air Peace restates its commitment to upholding safety standards.”
