The Chief Medical Director, NAUTH, Dr. Joseph Ugboaja, rejoiced with all mothers as they celebrated Mothering Sunday

Dr. Joseph Ugboaja, the CMD of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospitals (NAUTH), commended mothers for their steadfastness in ensuring that the children receive the nurturing and care that see them develop into productive members of the society.

Dr. Ugboaja appreciates “the sacrifices that mothers across the country make on a daily basis, denying themselves the basics of life to ensure that their children and families maintain the sense of stability even under extenuating circumstances.”

“Mothers are precious. They build homes, institutions, and society. They go through the rigors of pregnancy, pains of labor and delivery, and the arduous task of raising the children from the cradle to adulthood,” Dr. Ugboaja opined.

Dr. Ugboaja maintains that mothers are strong pillars to their husbands who ensure that the fathers will have a conducive environment to go home to after a day’s work.

“On this day, I want to appreciate all our mothers, especially those of the Anglican denomination, as we mark the mothering day celebration,” Dr. Ugboaja said.

Dr. Ugboaja continues: “Indeed, no amount of celebration, appreciation, and gratitude can be too much for our mothers considering the roles they play in forming and molding the families in our society.”

Happy Mothering Sunday to all our mothers, he enthused.
