The IYCON Foundation, one of the vehicles through which Chief Ifeanyi Ekwulugo and IYCON Industries Nigeria Ltd use for philanthropic activities, has been front and center in the run-up to the funeral of Pa Christopher Anajekwu (Okaonye Egbunaya) coming up on January 7th, 2022.
It will be an understatement to say that significant material resources have been deployed not only in preparation for the funeral proper, but the cost of the rehabilitation of the roads and asphalting, construction of drainage system, and street lights are conservatively running into hundreds of millions of naira.

The road which Fancee Construction Company Ltd handles has been highly commended by the road users who have turned the asphalted and rehabilitated roads as the leading service roads.
The Crown Prince, Obianaefo Orizu, also visited the site for inspection. He prayed that God would keep blessing Chief Ifeanyi Iycon Ekwulugwo (Okaonye Egbunaya). “I have always known that Iycon is a great philanthropist, but the road, the drainage system, and the street lights projects are laudable because it is for all to benefit from them,” the Crown Prince said.
Many community stakeholders have visited the site, and they have all thanked the CEO of IYCON Industries, Chief Ifeanyi Ekwulugo, who uses the instrumentality of his company to support the IYCON Foundation to finance all these projects.
The shop owners on the street have all said that the street lights were essential to their businesses. One of the ladies operating a hairdressing salon informed us that she has never seen such high-quality lamps that shine so well. “In fact, we are so happy with everything going on here”, she said.
The Managing Director of Fancee Construction Company Ltd confirmed to us that the road construction continues until the funeral takes off, and after the funeral, the work on the project will continue.
What is remarkable with the whole preparation and ongoing projects is that attention is paid to details.
