The Crown Prince, Barr Obi Orizu, celebrated his birthday yesterday. It was a joyous mystery for him.
First of all, Prince Obi was treated to a surprise party engineered by his wife and assisted by former Nnewi North Council Chairman, Rt Hon Prince Chukwudi Orizu, the immediate younger brother of the Crown Prince.
The surprise occurred after the customary morning felicitation with HRH Igwe KON Orizu III. It was at this point that the cat was let out of the bag, and there was a chorus of the happy birthday song. It was about 7.30 am in the morning when the surprise party took off and lasted till about 9 am.
The Crown Prince was thoroughly surprised. Igwe, who was not privy to the scheming, was all excited for his son.
Following the cutting of the cake by the celebrant, he knelt down before his father, HRH Igwe Orizu III, to receive the royal blessings.
The guests present at the surprise party were Prince Chukwudi Orizu, Prince Chiedu Orizu, Prince Afam Orizu, Prince Okwy Iwuchukwu, Uzo Ulasi, Hon Ezeakukwu Emmanuel Nsoedo, etc.
Later, in the evening, the Crown Prince hosted a dinner party for some of his friends.
