The Chief Medical Director, Dr. Joe Ugboaja, and members of NAUTH management warmly received the Crown Prince at the hospital.

The development recorded at the site was quite a marvel gauging from the financial difficulties the country currently experiences.

The CMD and his team took the Crown Prince around the completed and ongoing projects. Some projects they inspected were the massive Trauma & Emergency Center, the children’s Emergency Complex, the Oxygen Production plants, and the completed Diagnostic Center.

They also inspected the Mother and Child complex, the Medical Ward complex, the Trauma ward, Amenity ward, Paediatric Ward, as well as the Surgical Ward complex. In addition to the above facilities, the Crown Prince made a point to visit the ongoing General Outpatient Department and the Cancer center to observe activities there.

In concluding the visit, the Crown Prince briefed the press. He felt very satisfied with the massive infrastructural development the CMD and his team was able to record in a very short period Dr. Ugboaja took the position of leadership at the teaching hospital.

The Crown Prince could not contain his excitement and did not hesitate to shower Dr. Ugboaja and his team with praises. Barr Obi Orizu said that every time he visited the site in the past few months, there had always been a great measure of improvement.

The Crown Prince’s excitement stems from the fact that the quality of workmanship at the site is very qualitative. He thanked the CMD for his quest to remain excellent in his pursuit of building an international standard teaching hospital in Nnewi.

The Crown Prince said that Dr. Ugboaja had operationalized the principle of management by objectives (MBO) in tackling the lofty vision he set for NAUTH.

By utilizing the principles of MBO in an organization, Dr. Ugboaja made his management team remain focused on the speedy schedule towards achieving his vision for the hospital. “It is impossible to remain as focused as Dr. Ugboaja without his magnetic leadership ability coupled with indefatigable energy,” he said.

Finally, the Crown Prince reiterated the palace’s pledge to remain in lockstep with Dr. Ugboaja and the hospital personnel as they race to fully functional the permanent site.

In his comments, the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Joe Ugboaja, thanked the Crown Prince for the visit and asked him to convey the hospital’s felicitation and appreciation to His Royal Highness.
Dr. Ugboaja recalled the effort of HRH and the Nnewi people in developing the hospital and promised that the management would not leave any stone unturned in ensuring that NAUTH becomes one of the best hospitals in the country.

Dr. Ugboaja reiterates the commitment of the Board and Management of the hospital toward making NAUTH a center of excellence.
He used the opportunity to call on stakeholders and public-spirited individuals to partner with the hospital to realize the vision of transforming NAUTH into a regional center of excellence in healthcare delivery.

Dr. Ugboaja paid glowing tribute to the efforts of his management team and the members of the hospital staff in changing the narratives of the hospital and ensuring that the hospital offers quality services.

We recall that on the assumption of office as the Chief Medical Director of NAUTH about 18 months ago, Dr. Ugboaja promised that he would make the development of the permanent site a priority.

A visit to the permanent site shows a massive transformation of a previously fallow land to beautiful evolving medical megacity with many completed and equipped structures, with many more at different stages of completion.

The vision newspapers align completely with the developmental strides of the dynamic Chief Medical Director of NAUTH, Dr. Joe Ugboaja, the management, and the staff.

In our estimation, Dr. Ugboaja had stayed far ahead of the curve in terms of what he promised to do.

These are the quality of men we need in the leadership space in Africa. Men of the CMD’s worth are best suited for disruptive forms of leadership where they are deployed to do miraculous transformation of institutions.

It is clear that the erudite scholar and distinguished Administrator means well for his institution and as God lives, he alongside his team is making possible.

May God guide the CMD to take Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital Anambra State to a level never imagined by any human before.

Cheers to the youthful leader with an overwhelming pulse for what he does.

We are not in any way surprised, Sir.
