The Nnewi Crown Prince, Dr Obi Orizu inspects the erosion control from Egbu-Umuenem to Igwe Orizu rd

The Nnewi Crown Prince, Dr Obi Orizu inspected the massive construction work to permanently solve the problem of erosion devastating Egbu-Umuenem and Obiuno.

The project opened up an old road which had been closed by the erosion, and a sense forest that formed on the road. The road in question is question veers left after Christo water factory and ends at the entrance of Nwosu Ezeodumegwu compound drive and St Cletus road. The reopened road is a natural diversion for the road users both vehicular and pedestrians.

The Crown Prince was joined by Chief Barr Emeka Okigbo Nwosu, the head of the Nwosu Ezeodumegwu and Nwakanwa royal family.

The Crown Prince was impressed by the enormity of the project, and what the construction company had been able to do. The Managing Director of Fancee Construction, Sir Bobby Okwuosa took the Crown Prince and entourage around the project and explained that when the might concluded the new drainages and culvert on the road, that they will break the culvert on Igwe Orizu in front of Zim’s house.

Sir Bobby intimated Dr. Obi Orizu and Chief Nwosu that they will raise the height on the road, and deepen the gathering point of the water force during the raining season.

The Crown Prince recommended to the MD of Fancee Construction to consider using an innovation he first noticed at Australia which he had seen somewhere in Umudim Nnewi. The procedure requires filling something like a basket with stones, which breaks the water force as they surge.

Sir Bobby agreed to go with the Crown Prince to see the innovation which he said he won’t hesitate to adapt to achieve an excellent result.

What amazed the Crown Prince is the vast material that had been committed to the project, and a huge pile of materials, bags of cement, rods, etc stored at the compound next to the project site.

The Crown Prince expressed happiness that the difficulty people encounter after a heavy rainpour will be a thing of the past. It is when the Igwe Orizu road closed for the reconstruction of the culvert that people would have an opportunity to observe the level of task undertaken by the sponsors and the construction company.

What intrigues the Crown Prince is that the few people sponsoring the project remain anonymous to the community. They endowed the enormous resources to make their community great with out making any fuss.

The Crown Prince encouraged the workers and admonished that they should not cut corners. He donated some cash to them and Chief Emeka Okigbo Nwosu supported him by donating some cash as well.

The Crown Prince prayed for God’s protection on the head of the project sponsors and their families.
